President, ERIN Research Inc.
Dr. Spears is President of ERIN Research Inc, a Canadian firm recognized
as a leader in the world of research. He co-founded ERIN in 1981,
almost 25 years ago.
Dr. Spears' expertise lies in applying rigorous analytical techniques
to complex and sensitive issues. He has developed exceptional skill
in the measurement and clear reporting of elusive qualities such
as drivers of client satisfaction and employee engagement; fairness
and balance in the coverage of political events and issues; and media
use and behaviour.
Dr. Spears has lead the three biennial studies of citizen satisfaction
with public service delivery called Citizens First in 1998, 2000
and 2003. This work received national and international acclaim and
has garnered a GOLD AWARD (IPAC) and a SILVER AWARD (CAPAM) for Innovation
in Management.
Over the past 5 years Dr. Spears has pioneered new measurement apporaches
and statistical modelling of employee satisfaction and commitment in the
public sector in municipal, provincial and federal jurisdictions. He is
retained as a consultant by the governments of BC, Ontario, Region of Peel
and by the Federal Government. In the area of media, Dr. Spears continues
his expert analyses of news and current affairs in broadcasting, analysis
of music use by the broadcast media and the internet.
Dr. Spears completed his degree in cognitive psychology at the University
of Toronto in 1976, and held a post-doctoral Research Fellowship
at the University of Western Ontario. He is a learned speaker and
has acted as expert witness in court hearings. His substantive work
appears in a broad range of conferences and respected publications.

Kasia
Seydegart MSW,
CMRP
Vice-President, ERIN Research Inc.
Since co-founding ERIN Research in 1981, Ms Seydegart, Vice-President
has earned recognition for her diagnostic capacity, her qualitative
research expertise, and for innovative solutions to policy and strategic
issues.
Ms Seydegart has co-lead a variety of large-scale government projects,
including three major evaluations of the achievement of its common service standards and several ground-breaking employee studies in the municipal and federal
government contexts. Ms Seydegart co-authored the award-winning Citizens First research in 1998, 2000 and 2003.
In 2005-2006, Ms Seydegart co-lead a major initiative to measure client
satisfaction with a broad range of municipal services including waste management, transportation services for persons with disabilities, social assistance,
subsidized housing and Children’s Services.
Among her recent accomplishments in media analysis are two large
national studies of children's media consumption and behaviour, a series of studies on fairness and balance in Canadian broadcasters' coverage of political
events and The Global Media Monitoring Project which examined the portrayal of gender and diversity in mass media in over 70 countries.
Ms Seydegart holds a Masters in Social Work from University of Toronto.
Ms Seydegart is a frequent presenter at conferences and is published in a variety of journals. She has served as Chair of the Advisory Committee of the graduate
Research Analyst Program, Georgian College, Ontario from 2000 to 2005.

Pat
Zulinov CMRP
Director, ERIN Research Inc.
In her fourteen years with ERIN Research, Pat Zulinov, Director
has managed many studies in both French and English.
Ms Zulinov was instrumental in the design of a broad range of survey
instruments. In particular she contributed immeasurably to the series of nation-wide Citizens First studies and to the award-winning Employee Satisfaction
Survey conducted for the Region of Peel in 2002 and 2003.
In 2005-2006, Ms Zulinov was Project Manager of an extensive customer
measurement strategy by a large Ontario municipality which included studies of customers satisfaction with a range of hard and soft services.
She is a skilled moderator and interviewer with an outstanding ability
to elicit and communicate key intelligence. Further she is respected
for her remarkable ability to interpret and present vast qualitative
data provided by employees, citizens or members of professional associations.
Ms Zulinov has ongoing responsibility for client services, supervision
of staff, for quality assurance and privacy compliance.
Prior
to joining ERIN, Ms Zulinov worked in management in the Ontario
Government and in the private sector in Canada and abroad. In 2004,
she was awarded CMRP designation by The Marketing Research and Intelligence
Association.
